Late arrival, postpone

The Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology of the University of Pécs is planning an education that requires a personal presence for the autumn semester of 2024/25 academic year.

According to the Code of Studies and Examinations Article 45. (2) „… the rate of acceptable absence shall be considered the 30 percent of the total hours.”

CHAPTER 10. 

Article 45.

(2) Attendance at the contact hours of the courses registered shall be the obligation of the student. The student may be refused to be granted a grade, an assessment, or a signature in the given course for the reason of absence only if he/she has been absent from the contact hours actually given in excess of the rate specified when announcing the course. (...) the rate of acceptable absence shall be considered the 30 percent of the total hours. Absence arising from participation in the obligatory teaching practice cannot be considered absence when denying end-of-semester signature.

 

If you are unable to appear in person by the deadline, or cannot start your studies in the 2024/2025 academic year for certain reasons, you have two options:

  • postpone your admission to the next academic year
    • In case of postponement your place will be secured for the next academic year and you will be able to start your studies if you meet the conditions of enrolment. In this case, the Faculty will not refund the amount of the tuition fees paid by the admitted candidate, but will credit the amount paid to the next academic year.
  • request for tuition fee refund
    • rate of the tuition fee refund

  • Visa Rejection Letter from the Embassy (if the reason for the request is a visa rejection) – must be sent to the Registry Office of the Faculty within 15 days of receiving it
