We are conducting a preliminary survey regarding the participation at the Graduation Ceremony among the students who successfully passed their final exams in the spring semester of the 2023/2024 academic year.

The expected date of the Ceremony:

5 July 2024, 9:00 a.m.

Graduates of Architecture (OTM), Architecture (MSc), Interior and Spatial Design (MA), Computer Science Engineering (MSc), Computer Science Engineering (BSc), Biomedical Engineering (MSc), Civil Engineering (BSc), Structural Engineering (MSc), and Electrical Engineering (BSc) majors will receive their Degree Certificates.

We reserve the right to change the schedule depending on the number of participants. Following the registration, we will inform you about any changes without delay.

The venue of the Ceremony: the roof terrace of the main building of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (UP FEIT Campus: Pécs, Boszorkány Str. 2.); in case of unfavourable weather conditions, the event will be held in Room A010.

The event is open to graduating students and their guests free of charge. The Graduation Ceremony will also be streamed live for those who cannot attend it in person. The Graduation Ceremony will be streamed live on the UP FEIT YouTube channel at https://youtube.com/live/TNxbP87tbtI?feature=share. It will also be available on our Faculty website.

You are kindly asked to confirm your participation at the Graduation Ceremony via the link below by 02 July 2024, 16:00 at the latest. Please also indicate the number of guests you would like to invite.

Students not attending the Graduation Ceremony can collect their degree certificates during office hours at the Registry Office after making an appointment by email, or they will receive the document by mail.

Further to this letter, you will find other practical information about the event; please read the details carefully.

Practical Information:

Please arrive at the venue at last 8:00 a.m. – an hour before the event starts – so that you can collect your graduation gown and accessories in time to get prepared. The handover will be arranged in room A007. Please dress appropriately for the solemnity of the event.

Short programme outline:

- 1 hour before the start: arrival, collection of gowns

- 1 hour before the start: line-up by degree, entry, rehearsal for the graduation ceremony

- the start of the ceremony:

•  Entry of the Presidency, national anthem, opening
•  Oath-taking
•  Awarding of the degree certificates
•  Greeting of the new graduates
•  Valedictory speech by graduating students
•  EU anthem
•  The Presidency leaves
•  Cap tossing of fresh graduates, photo session

Oath:

I, ……….. You have to wear a gown at the Graduation Ceremony and must pay a rental fee of HUF 5,500, which can only be paid through the NEPTUN system via the following steps.

•  Transcribe item >
•  Under payment titles, choose service >
•  For the term, choose 2023/2024-2 >
•  For service type, select Participation fee at the graduation ceremony (5500.-Ft) >
•  Then click on Create the item and pay the fee.

Please also bring at least two bobby hairpins to secure the cap.

A professional photographer will capture the Graduation Ceremony. We will send the link for the photos through Neptun to the graduates free of charge within seven working days after the Ceremony if they consent to it on the registration site. Following the Ceremony, you can take individual and group photos on the open-air terrace in front of the main building entrance of the Campus.
