IN-BETWEEN – Constant Change is in the Focus of This Year’s MIK PARTNERS Professional Day
Everything in
our world, our everyday life and scientific activity, is in a state of
transition. ChatGPT is here with us, and monitoring scientific projects differs
markedly from what it was a few years ago. Our environment and climatic
conditions are undergoing constant changes. We are witnessing a different
attitude; we are in need of a much more economical and sustainable approach
towards our resources. So, what can science, the economy, and businesses do in
these transitional times?
This question is
the focus of this year’s MIK PARTNERS Professional Day of the Faculty of
Engineering and Information Technology of the University of Pécs (UP FEIT), as
the concept of ‘IN-BETWEEN’ has been chosen as the event’s motto.
Launched in 2018, the event is aiming to provide an annual opportunity to
present the broad range of educational, research, development, and innovation
achievements resulting from our partnership collaborations. In addition to the
professional programme, we also seek to support the building and nurturing of
relationships within our partner network.
In keeping with
tradition, our event is organised jointly with regional professional and
business stakeholders. MIK PARTNERS will start with a plenary session, followed
by professional presentations in 30 sessions within 2x2 hour blocks,
constituting the backbone of the event. Participation is officially accredited
by the South-Transdanubian Chamber of Architects and the Engineer Chamber of
Baranya County for their members.
Besides the plenary keynote and thematic session presentations, we are also offering a series of highlighted programmes. We will present the developments implemented on the UP FEIT Campus with the contribution of our partners, such as the new UP FEIT Student Union offices, and we will also award student scholarships funded by our partners. Participants can get acquainted with our joint initiatives with the Engineer Chamber of Baranya County to promote sports among engineering professionals and with details about the plans for the country’s first ‘Park of Engineers.’ As traditional, the South-Transdanubian Chamber of Architects will also award the Alfréd Forbát Architecture Prize during the event.
