Architecture Today Series – Opening of the “ARCHITEKTON” Exhibition

Date:

Date: October 15, 2025, 17:00
Venue: Main hall of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, University of Pécs

The Institute of Architecture at the University of Pécs, Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (PTE MIK), together with the Marcel Breuer Doctoral School of Architecture, proudly presents the ARCHITEKTON exhibition as part of the renewed “Architecture Today” lecture and event series.

The exhibition was inspired by a course built around Juhani Pallasmaa’s seminal work The Eyes of the Skin. During the spring semester, under the guidance of Dr. Csaba Rosta S., Dr. Erika Vörös, and Dr. Pál Németh, students explored themes drawn from Pallasmaa’s philosophy and the works of architects and artists such as Alvar Aalto, Steven Holl, László Moholy-Nagy, James Turrell, Zoltán Popovits, and Andy Goldsworthy.

Through the lenses of space, landscape, photography, music, and movement, participants investigated how artistic and sensory experiences can inform architectural thinking. The results — creative interpretations and conceptual design objects — are showcased in this thought-provoking exhibition.
